We are now looking for a full-time Eligibility Specialist to join our Family Services Team.



Child Care Connections is a 501(c)(3) nonprofit, that serves as Child Care Resource Experts for Gallatin, Park, Meagher, Lewis & Clark, Jefferson, and Broadwater counties. It is our mission to advocate for the well-being and quality care of children by supporting early childhood professionals, families and the communities we serve.



The Eligibility Specialist at Child Care Connections is a key role in helping us meet this mission. The person in this position will work directly with clients to manage their eligibility of the Best Beginnings Child Care Scholarship program.



The Job Description is as follows:



-Works cooperatively with the Executive Director, Family Services Director, Early Childhood Training Specialist, CACFP Director and support staff for smooth agency operation.



-Complete child care application process for state assistance child care. Provide WoRC, TANF, and non-TANF Block Grant Child Care participants professional assistance as required by DPHHS policy. Works closely with the local DPHHS, OPA, Career Transitions, Job Service and HRDC to insure that parents receive quality child care support services within the parameters of available resources.



-Coordinate CCC responsibilities for child care assistance families, such as eligibility determination, special needs determinations, recertifications, and payment processing. Maintain accurate spreadsheets for each child care assistance program, on a monthly basis, to utilize the maximum amount of available resources. Provider support and resources for families.



-Complete monthly Invoice process for state assistance payment. Accurately perform the steps involved from initially receiving the invoices from the providers to inputting the information into CCUBS (Child Care Under the Big Sky) by the deadline. Follow through each month by answering questions from providers or parents regarding the dollar amount of the reimbursement checks they receive.



-Assist the Executive Director and/or Family Services Coordinator in the preparation of reports on Resource & Referral activities including annual application for funding. Work with the Executive Director and/or Family Services Coordinator in monitoring Resource & Referral budgets.



-Provide parent education and support for families receiving child care assistance.



-Participate in related meetings such as TANF Advisory committee, WoRC Task force, and Montana Resource and Referral Network meetings.



-Conduct public presentations about the agency services and quality child care.



-Assist where needed in daily operation and additional projects.



MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS: Must have an associate degree in human services, early childhood, elementary education and six months experience in case management; OR two years of experience in case management, customer relations, or general office experience.



ADDITIONAL QUALIFICATIONS: Preferred Bachelor’s Degree in child development, human services, or a related field and/or relevant work experience. Extensive computer experience and background; proficient in data entry, and strong public relations skills is required. Must have strong multi-tasking skills and the ability to handle stressful situations.
